Day 5 - At Bayerebon No.3 Village

Over the past five days, Theovsion International’s ‘Rural Health Matters’ medical outreach has made a lot of positive impact on the people from the seven villages around Bibiani. This has been both a fulfilling and an overwhelming experience, because after ministering in the first village on day 1, we realized that this wasn’t just a medical outreach for the people; Theovision had brought an entire hospital into these villages. This outreach is providing counseling for the troubled and a home for God’s children, at the same time giving teenage mothers in these villages courage and hope for a better future for her children.

Already, 1,619 people have received full medical care through the generous support of our Partners. For some of the patients whose cases had severities beyond what our medical team could provide, the team transported them miles away to the local hospital in Bibiani.

Due to the distance of some of these villages from the city, we realized that some of the people were still keeping and using medication they were given by the doctor four years ago. The sad thing was that, they were ignorantly giving these expired medication to their children as well, and this was the cause of some of their complications. We thank God that this medical outreach was a timely intervention, and without it, some of these patients would have been at serious risk of possibly dying in their homes.

Through this outreach, the gospel is being preached, souls are being won and lives are being transformed. About 195 souls have been won for Christ since the beginning of the medical outreach. We are so excited that our presence in the Bibiani area these past five days is giving courage, hope and so much joy to people which they haven’t experienced in a long time.

Jesus commissioned us to go, preach and make disciples of all nations. Through our the support of our cherished Partners, this great commission is being fulfilled and experienced in the three towns of Bibiani: Nyameyehene, Bayerebon No.5 and Bayerebon No.3.
