Fresh water at last!

The many diseases and discomforts such as skin rashes and worm infections caused by the water residents have had to gulp down all these years is obvious nonetheless with no access to potable water the people still drink it anyway. This is the story of the Kwabena Saa village in the Asamankese area of the Eastern Region of Ghana. Worse, several individuals and Organizations have been to the village to make countless promises that have not seen the light of day to date. In exchange for their most desperate need; potable water, residents and the leadership of the kwabena Saa people have had to part with one resource or the other yet to no avail.

However this sad plight promises to end soon. Theovision International in partnership with Goldman Capital, a financial institution in Ghana, is facilitating the construction of a hand-dug well to serve the village of about 200 residents including children. This well when completed will serve essential purposes such as drinking and massively reduce the disappointment that the long absence of social interventions in the community has generated.

Speaking at the sword-cutting ceremony held recently at the village, an emotional Mr George Koomson (C.E.O. of Goldman Capital) expressed his shock at the source residents were drinking from and added that his institution was extremely glad to be a part of the solution to their water problem. Mr. Koomson was hopeful that the project which is scheduled to be completed in a month would even be expedited to bring an immediate end to the endangering of lives due to unavailability of potable water supply.

Providing potable water to villages where Bible listening groups have been established always communicates the love of God in such an amazing way and Theovision International is glad to share God’s love in this way with the support of Goldman Capital.

Praise God! Kwabena Saa will have fresh water at last!
