In a remote farming village located within the Avedo area in the South Tongu district of the Volta Region of Ghana, a momentous event was about to unfold. It was a day unlike any other as the villagers gathered beneath the warm golden sun. Excitement and anticipation filled the air as they prepared for a significant milestone in their lives — their very first Church Service.

For many generations, the people of Adzakope had lived without a Church. Their spiritual yearning had been passed down through the ages unfulfilled until when Theovision International, moved by their mission to make all hear God’s voice, gifted them an audio Bible in February 2023. This simple solar powered device, which held the transformative words of Scripture would become a catalyst for an extraordinary transformation in Adzakope.

“Theovision doesn’t plant Churches, but the people after listening to the audio Bible requested that we help them establish one in the village to sustain their faith in the Lord. We are all gathered here today to fellowship together as a Church, and today being their first time, the village has expressed so much joy. There are several other small villages around who also don’t have Churches. They have accepted to join us to worship every Sunday.” Pastor Peter Xlornyeku, Theovision missionary explained.

Indeed, the Bible Listening Program has had significant impact on the people of Adzakope. Countless people have experienced spiritual awakening, and have given their lives to Christ as a result of engaging with God’s Word.  This was marked by an immediate baptism of four souls who were profoundly moved by the program’s lessons, symbolizing their absolute commitment.

Witnessing this great impact of the Bible Listening Program, the village now yearns for a permanent place of worship — a Church that can serve as a spiritual sanctuary for its loyal members. “The entire village is grateful to Theovision International and her Partners for bringing us the audio Bible in the Ewe language, which has changed the entire community.
