Church Media Summit Team Visits Theovision International

A team of renown media production experts from the United States and South Africa are in Accra to take part in a 3-day summit at the Perez Dome.

The summit is being hosted by Theovision International, a non-profit Christian organization in the business of recording audio Bibles in indigenous languages in Africa, in conjunction with The Influence Lab, Cooke Media Group (USA) and Perez Chapel International.

Led by Phil Cooke (Ph. D), the team was on Citi FM’s Morning Show to discuss the summit, and to invite many more Ghanaians to register for the program. They also paid a working visit to Theovision International.

In a short discussion, Rev. Dr. Theodore Asare, Founder and President of Theovision said Theovision was established out of the need to open the Bible to non-readers so they may also share in the Good News of the Kingdom of God. He said since its establishment in 1989, Theovision has recorded the Bible in 473 languages in 36 African countries. This, he said, has helped to spread the Gospel to many parts of Africa.

He was upbeat about the summit and hoped it would help the church get better with its media production.

On his part, Phil Cooke said the team is looking forward to having a great summit in Accra. He hopes participants will take advantage of the summit to enhance media content development and production in Africa.
