Hundreds of smiles and a big thank you!

It is always heartwarming when beneficiaries of the medical outreach share their contentment in broad smiles and countless thank you’s in their various languages. The patients who are largely residents of the various villages visited by the medical team take advantage of the outreach program to receive some medical attention for discomforts in their bodies which they have had to endure for so long. Again, it is an amazing opportunity to get medicines they need but are not even aware of or cannot afford to pay for. Inability to pay for treatment and proximity to a health centre are the reasons many of the patients give, for their inability to seek or continue medical treatment.

For the gift of free and professional medical healthcare, the beneficiaries are very grateful. Below are examples of how some of the people who benefitted from the medical outreach in July 2016 expressed their appreciation.

Kwaku Ansah- Nyamebekyere;

It is God that sent you here because even if I was asked to pay a few cedis that would have been an issue and I believe many others have this same testimony. You have come this far to our village to give us free medical attention and medicines and that alone is a great blessing to us. Thank you”.

Janet Nyarko- Dago;

If I had gone to the hospital with my five kids I just cannot imagine how much I would have been required to pay and I know I would not have been able to. However, all my children and myself have been examined by the doctor and each of them has been given medication, for all this we didn’t have to pay anything! I am extremely grateful to God and to the people who have made it possible for us to experience this great love.

Beauty Dzibor of Agave in the Volta Region of Ghana was one of the many that shared smiles that said “I finally have a remedy for this back-pain.

Togbui Sakplika III, chief of the Dove community which consists of about 15 villages that benefitted from the outreach program was full of gratitude to the team. According to him there were lots of his people suffering from various diseases and for this he would be delighted even if the team decided to visit his community every two weeks. Togbui endorsed the outreach program and stressed on how beneficial it had been to his people including himself.
