“There are senders and there are goers but we shall all be rewarded for our work.” These were the words of a very humbled Rev. Theodore Asare, Founder and CEO of Theovision International, as he took the guests down memory lane, recounting the story of the establishment of Theovision branch in Kenya; the hard work and perseverance that watered it and ten years of God’s faithfulness. He was speaking to the management and staff of Theovision International-Kenya as well as partners and friends of the organization at a dinner organized on September 6, 2013 at Sarova Panafric Hotel in Nairobi, to mark ten years of the ministry’s work in Kenya and East Africa.
“Ten years ago when we started this, we thought we were going nowhere but today we are humbled by what the Lord has used our ministry to do in East Africa.” Rev. Asare said, concerning the growth and impact of Theovision International.
Theovision Kenya center was established 14 years after the founding of Theovision International in Ghana. Before this time, sound technicians from Ghana travelled to Kenya to record the Audio Bible in East African languages. Subsequently, Theovision received several requests from Hosanna/Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), Bible Society of Kenya, Wycliffe, Bible Translation and Literacy, Audio Scripture Ministry and Biblica, to record the Bible in different language. As a result it became necessary to have a presence in Kenya to facilitate the work.
